Day 6

Floripa
May 18th, 2022

As our Kentucky farms brace for storms this evening, Floripa and her new filly have shared a pretty day in Saratoga Springs, New York.

We have heard from some of you asking about the filly's personality. Old Tavern staff describe Floripa as a bit of a "helicopter mom." So on Day 6 and with all that reliance on her mother, it is still a little too early for the filly's personality to come through. But after some time and increased independence, we will be sure to share some of those traits with you.

Enjoy this glimpse into the pair's day in the sunshine.

We are happy to announce our 5th Foaling Date Contest winner for Season 5. Congratulations to Cindy from Fayetteville, New York! Cindy's predicted foaling date and time for Floripa fell closest to her filly's birth on May 11th at 10:38 p.m.

Cindy - we thank you for your support and for being a part of Foal Patrol!

New camera schedule

Floripa
May 16th, 2022

Floripa and her new filly will have an updated camera schedule beginning today:

Paddock camera: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Stall camera: 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Day 3

Floripa
May 14th, 2022

We hope you enjoy this little clip of some turnout time with Floripa and her new Vekoma filly at Old Tavern Farm this afternoon. We have heard from many of you, and all agree this chestnut filly and her mom make a lovely pair.

At Day 3, this filly is poised and soaking up her exploring time with mom and their paddock buddies. Some of you will recognize the other mare as Memento d'Oro, the farm's featured mare on Foal Patrol Season 1. Memento delivered a colt by Kantharos on May 5, and Memento's and her colt's stall is just across the way from Floripa's on the livestream stall camera feed.
