Magical World

Magical World20 is four months old. Below is his June growth chart. He weighed in at 530 pounds and remains the largest foal in his group. He is still slightly above the curve in weight and height as seen on the chart below (orange line shows average growth and green line shows Magical Word20’s growth). The team at Three Chimneys shared they couldn’t be happier with his development.

Magical World and her colt are doing well at Three Chimneys Farm. Her Gun Runner colt continues to get bigger, stronger and longer. He has an easy, athletic walk and is tracking well behind and in front. Magical World is healthy and enjoying the grass and fields. She is getting a bit more space as her baby becomes more and more independent. The colt is approaching four months and will likely be weaned in July. They are both healthy and well.  

Three Chimneys’ Chris Baker has shared an update on Magical World's pregnancy. Below is a video of the ultrasound scan of her 61-day-old embryo from Wednesday, June 17. Dr. Tanner from Rood and Riddle walks through a fetal sex determination and shows parts of the anatomy in the ultrasound. The embryo continues to be healthy and well developed at this time.

Magical World20 received a visit from a farrier earlier this week. In the video below, watch him receive a hoof trim. This is done every three weeks to stay on top of the excess growth that the foal is not wearing down naturally and to shape the foot. This is important maintenance in keeping the hoof castle symmetrical and aligned as the foal walks and bears weight.
