Thank you to everyone who participated in the Naming Contest for the Two-Year-Old Filly by Bodemeister out of Memento d'Oro at Old Tavern Farm.

Seahorse d’Oro is the winner! Old Tavern Farm received over 600 creative submissions and ultimately felt that Seahorse d’Oro encompassed her lineage and head marking best. We all look forward to the start of her career.

If you were unable to watch the Old Tavern virtual farm tour last Friday, we will be sharing the recording soon. Stay tuned!

Racehorse Naming Contest

Old Tavern Farm is asking for your help in naming a two-year-old homebred filly by Bodemeister out of Memento d’Oro. You may remember her from Foal Patrol Season 1 & everyone’s favorite seahorse!

Submit your name idea at the farm's website here. Submissions will be accepted until July 30th. Have fun and be creative!

All submissions will be collected and reviewed by the Old Tavern Farm team. Once they pick a favorite name, they will confirm the submission is in accordance with the guidelines set forth by The Jockey Club. They will then announce the winner via social media!

(p.s. the name Seahorse is already taken...they tried!)

By submitting a name you agree that Old Tavern Farm shall own the full rights of the entry submitted.

Memento d’Oro18 was shipped to Ingleside Training Center in Virginia to start training in September.

Old Tavern Farm staff shared that she is doing well. Greg and Trina traveled out there to visit and reported that she is much further along with training than they thought she would be which is great news. Enjoy these updated photos and a video of her training. She is on the inside in the video.
