Neil Howard at Gainesway Farm provided an update on Silver Colors19
Silver Colors delivered her colt three weeks early. There is concern when this happens because of the overall health of the foal. After close observation, this foal seems to have suffered no major ill effects and is happy. The colt did suffer a couple of broken ribs during delivery which will require him to be in the stall for about 2 weeks. This measure is taken to ensure the foal doesn't overly exert itself causing further injury.
He is out of a daughter of Kentucky Derby winning filly, Winning Colors and is a half-brother to G1 stakes winner Eskimo Kisses. He is obviously a valuable commodity and we are delighted to have him on the ground in good health.
