Silver Colors

Silver Colors19 is doing well and particularly happy to be turned out with the rest of the herd. His tendon has healed nicely so he's been turned out with everyone for a couple of weeks now, and is loving it! He’s made some new friends, and has acclimated to being with more than one other mare and foal.

Silver Colors, featured on Foal Patrol at Gainesway Farm in 2019, has produced several runners, including Silver Ride (Candy Ride) in 2012 and Eskimo Kisses (To Honor and Serve) in 2015. Graded stakes placed Silver Ride earned over $460K during his racing career, while Eskimo Kisses claimed the 2018 Alabama Stakes at Saratoga, earning more than $710K between 2017 and 2019.

After delivering her Tapit colt to a Foal Patrol audience in Season 2, Silver Colors was given the rest of the breeding season off. Gainesway welcomed her 2022 Into Mischief filly on March 5th. Foal Patrol wishes Silver Colors and her new filly all the best!

Silver Colors19 is doing fantastic! He was weaned last week and although he had a couple of rough days he has gotten used to being in a stall by himself. He will stay here until sometime in October, then he and the other weanlings will be moved to the yearling side of the farm.

Silver Colors, the mare, is also doing fine. She was moved in with a new herd across the farm. She unfortunately did not get in foal this year, but hopefully when next breeding season comes around, she will. 

Here is a video of little silver enjoying a bath on one of our hot summer Kentucky days. We are so proud of how well he and the other babies are progressing.

Silver Colors19 is playful as can be. He is still on day time turnout, and has to stay by himself to help with healing. He is out of his bandage, and loves to play with whatever in his paddock...trees, cats, people, his mom... anything is fair game. 

He is losing his baby fur and is starting to get his sleek summer coat. The farm should hear from the doctor in the next few days to see if his tendon is ok to be turned out with his regular paddock mates.
